We have one of the largest Global Service and Sales organizations among precision instrument companies. We are seeking a Temporary Sales Support Specialist in Columbus, OH.|
This position is primarily responsible for processing inbound order requests, either by phone or email to the assigned team. The role serves our end-user customers, field teams and dealer associates directly and works with marketing, field teams and management to serve customer needs and solve inbound concerns.
•Inbound call/email support: managing inbound inquires for price, availability, solution recommendation, or quote
•Order processing and management: orders received and processed in a timely manner, while maintaining ISO & Sarbanes-Oxley compliances
•Advising inbound requestors on MT solutions to guide customers toward appropriate and cost-effective options; quoting inquirers on these desired solutions
•Lead generation through contact with customers: when the involvement of a sales representative is required, execute proper submission of lead details for external pursuit
•Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our CRM, sales, and service databases at every practical opportunity
•Accurately and quickly quote products, services, and solutions to small and medium accounts, and to large accounts at external sales’ request
•Manage our 1st and 2nd Tier Dealer Networks through timely and personal attention to orders, adjustments, and specific end-use customer needs
•Provide project management for large and/or complicated orders, using the tracking capabilities afforded by BaaN, to assure that all possible bookings are converted to billings as quickly as timelines allow
•Assist team leader and senior management by providing weekly updates about recurring business issues that require a proactive approach, or trends that suggest alternate sales offers or approaches, through regular communication or team meetings
KNOWLEDGE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS:
•Overall general and technical knowledge and application of the Laboratory business area’s product lines and service offerings
•In-depth knowledge of all internal applications related to lab sales and marketing, including but not limited to SalesLogix and Baan
•Time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to handle a complex and highly communicative environment
|Qualifications:||EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE |
Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school and/or two years laboratory bench experience working with basic laboratory instrumentation, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is also desired. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Additional requirements include the ability to multitask in an open work space environment and to maintain a high energy level with strong customer focus. Also, a minimum of two years of “Call Center” experience is required.
