We have one of the largest Global Service and Sales organizations among precision instrument companies. We are hiring a Lab Solutions Consultant Software located in any major USA city.|
This position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining an active sales pipeline by prospecting, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities of our strategic LabX instrument control and data capture software platform which is uniquely designed to work with our analytical instruments and laboratory balances.
|Duties:||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES|
Achievement of annual assigned sales targets and business development objectives;
Develops and maintains a dynamic and healthy pipeline of both short and long term LabX software sales opportunities within assigned territory.
Responsible for regularly working, coordinating, and communicating with balance, instrument, and service field sales groups within defined territory to generate new leads, nurture opportunities, prepare offers, and generate sales that leverage the software with the entire METTLER TOLEDO lab product and service portfolio.
Configures the software for each demonstration as required and performs customer-focused technical presentations and demonstrations of LabX. Conducts presentations/ demonstrations primarily in-person at customer location or by using conferencing/ virtual technologies such as WebEx where appropriate and financially/ logistically prudent.
On his/her own and working with field personnel, spearheads prospecting campaigns to create sales opportunities that foster high-value relationships between METTLER TOLEDO and our customers.
Conveys the METTLER TOLEDO total solution approach surrounding software including service, validation, training, and other professional services to accompany placement of the software and our products into the customer environment;
Has demonstrated negotiation skills that produce win-win outcomes.
Post-sale responsibilities include coordinating the overall process of system installation and training between customer and company resources to ensure successful customer start-up.
Managing time, territory, travel logistics, and expenses within budget while maximizing productivity.
Use of company provided CRM, communication, and other technology and territory development tools in accord with corporate requirements and frequency.
|Qualifications:|| QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Business, or other Natural Sciences, or equivalent experience.|
Minimum three (3) or more years prior experience in sales of laboratory instruments or software and a familiarity with typical laboratory applications and laboratory information systems is ideal.
The candidate should have a familiarity with laboratory work flows, common lab measurement instrumentation, and laboratory data systems such as LIMS/ ELN's.
Familiarity with regulatory concepts; GMP, GLP, and FDA 21CFR Part 11.
Practical working knowledge of weighing and analytical instruments such as titrators; Prior experience with any/all of the following is required:
- Prior use of CRM software such as SalesLogix, SalesForce.com, or similar contact management systems;
- Microsoft Office, esp. PowerPoint, and other common computing applications;
- Conferencing services such as WebEx, Microsoft Net Meeting, etc.
Solid time/territory management, prospecting, and follow-up skills.
Ability to travel approximately 50-60%. Travel mostly within assigned geography. Possible travel outside assigned territory and on occasion, internationally for internal meetings.
