Industrial Telemarketing/Teleselling Associate

This position is primarily responsible for telemarketing and teleselling activities for the MT-NA Industrial Business Area. The position is structured to generate new sales leads and to market and sell designated industrial products, including service contracts and extended warranties in direct and distribution territories.

New sales lead opportunities will be identified through outbound telemarketing and teleselling phone calls and captured in the Sales Logix data base. Telemarketing and teleselling activities include participation in specified segment marketing campaigns, qualification of pre-sales suspect and prospect customers, and pre-qualification of customer contact information.
Knowledge and Business Management Functions:
•Responsible for an overall knowledge of the
Industrial product lines and service offerings.
•Responsible for learning the Sales Logix CRM
system and any support modules, including query
•Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
including Outlook, Excel and Word.
•Responsible for maintaining a daily activity report
and submitting the report to the Lead Life Cycle
•Responsible for achieving assigned telemarketing
and teleselling goals and objectives.

Telemarketing / Telesales Functions:
•Responsible for telemarketing and telesales
activities to support segment marketing initiatives
with direct participation in outbound telemarketing
campaigns and projects. Includes
pre- qualification of customer contact list
information and the qualification of sales leads
obtained from internet sources, trade shows, mail
campaigns, and inbound phone calls.
•Qualification of sales leads specifically includes
contacting potential and existing customers to
define and clarify the specific details of the sales
opportunity and capturing and maintaining the
customer data and requirements in the Sales
Logix CRM data base.
•Call on customers to advise them of current
sales promotions, Point of Sale service offerings
and conduct surveys.
•Work with the Segment Marketing Managers,
Area Business Managers and Sales
Representatives and Team Lead to manage and
implement targeted sales and service campaigns.
•Responsible for the development of customer call
lists through data mining of internal and external
customer source data.
•Responsible for duties associated with the
management of account and contact information
within the Sales Logix CRM system. Complete
change requests in Sales Logix to correct
inaccurate customer contact information and
duplicate data base records and submit the
change requests to the Sales Logix
•Track all outbound calls and inbound calls in
Sales Logix and capture specific customer and
product details related to the call.
•Input sales and service lead opportunities in
Sales Logix and forward to the appropriate direct
field representative or distribution contact.
•Responsible for actively driving revenue by
engaging in planned and agreed to direct sales
and service activities.
•Develop strong customer relationships.
Desired education would be an Associate’s Degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school with a business emphasis, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Additional requirements include the ability to work independently or in a team environment, ability multitask in an open work space environment and to maintain a high energy level with strong customer focus.

A minimum of one year of “Call Center” or “Customer Service experience” is required.

Must possess the ability to utilize and work within a computerized business data system for the entering and maintenance of customer orders and have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
